Product Designer, KAYAK Software Corporation (Cambridge, MA): The
Product Designer will investigate user needs in the travel space to assist developers with the preparation and layout of digital content across platforms. Will create, deliver, and test digital travel products across responsive web and mobile platforms with a focus on usability and performance. Will work through design problems from beginning to end using iterative processes and design sprints. Will determine the needs of users of technical documentation. Will translate research and analytical insights into ideas that form new products and features using journey mapping, contextual inquiry, generative user interviews, and usability testing. Will optimize layout of material, including design workflows. Will design workflows and detailed interactions to realize said workflows. Will sketch and prototype ideas to quickly assess the viability of these concepts using the latest design tools and processes available to the team. Will work within and build upon our brands design system. Will write or revise supporting content for products. Will iterate based on feedback from the whole team and validate designs through A/B testing, user engagement metrics, and other research methods. Will work closely with engineers as they build and ship ideas. Telecommuting from within the U.S. is allowed, but working onsite in the Cambridge, MA office 3 days per week is required. The basic annual pay ranges between \$100,00 to \$110,00. Minimum requirement: Masters degree in Human Computer Interaction or a closely related field.
