Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for a 26-week correctional nursing assignment in New York. This role involves providing comprehensive nursing care within a residential juvenile justice setting while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to support patient health and safety.

Shift Details:

• Night Shift – 5x8s
• Schedule: 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM
• 40 hours per week
• Specific workdays discussed during interview

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and maintain medication inventory, including controlled substances
• Assess and monitor overall health conditions of patients
• Develop, review, and evaluate nursing intervention plans
• Ensure nursing interventions align with treatment plans
• Maintain infection control standards and protocols
• Prepare clinical and administrative documentation and reports
• Participate in staff meetings and training sessions
• Collaborate with the medical treatment team to support patient care

Requirements:

• Active New York State RN license required
• Correctional or behavioral health experience preferred
• Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a structured team environment
