Job Title: Respiratory Therapist / Neuro Diagnostics Specialist

Location: Muncie, IN
Duration: 13 Weeks (Contract)
Schedule: 3x12s or 4x12s (Flexible Shifts)

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist with experience in critical care and neuro diagnostics support to join a high-acuity hospital environment. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in airway management, ventilator support, and respiratory procedures within an ICU and emergency setting.

Work Environment

• Trauma center and teaching hospital setting
• Adult ICU and Emergency Room exposure
• Fast-paced, high-acuity patient care environment

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive respiratory care to critically ill patients
• Perform airway management and ventilator support
• Administer respiratory medications and therapies
• Conduct and analyze arterial blood gases (ABGs)
• Manage oxygen therapy including BiPAP, CPAP, and nebulizers
• Perform suctioning and pulmonary hygiene (pulmonary toileting)
• Assist with and support bronchoscopy procedures
• Monitor and document patient care using electronic medical records (EMR)
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Equipment & Systems

• Ventilators: Hamilton G5, Philips V60
• Documentation System: Cerner

Required Qualifications

Education

• High School Diploma or GED

Certifications & Licensure

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
• Active Indiana State License

Experience & Skills

• Experience in Adult ICU and critical care settings
• Strong knowledge of:
  • Ventilator management
  • Airway management
  • Oxygen therapy
  • Respiratory procedures and protocols
• Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
• Excellent clinical judgment and communication skills
