Job Title: RN - Stepdown - Cardio-Pulmonary
Location: Cincinnati, OH
Type: Contract | 8 Weeks (With high possibility of extension or permanent placement)
Shift & Schedule: Night Shift | 3x12s | 36 Hours/Week | Every Other Weekend Required

Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking RN - Stepdown - Cardio-Pulmonary for an exciting Travel or Local job in Cincinnati, OH.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for stepdown patients
• Monitor and manage patients with acute MI, cardiac arrhythmias, CHF, cardiomyopathy, and chest pain diagnoses
• Provide care for long-term ventilator-dependent patients
• Administer infusion therapies, blood transfusions, injections, and central line care
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Utilize Bi-PAP, C-PAP, and A-PAP equipment as needed
• Perform accurate clinical documentation and maintain compliance with nursing standards
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Support stroke care initiatives as part of the dedicated stroke unit team

Qualifications

• Experience in cardiac stepdown, telemetry, or progressive care preferred
• Experience caring for cardiac, pulmonary, renal, endocrine, and stroke patients preferred
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required as part of unit competency
• Experience with cardiac monitoring and non-invasive ventilation preferred
• Night shift availability required
• Diploma in Nursing from an accredited nursing program
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Active Ohio RN License or Compact RN License
• BLS Certification (American Heart Association)
• ACLS Certification (American Heart Association)
