Senior Account Manager

Job Description

ABOUT WEDÜ

wedü is a strategy-first creative agency built to drive real business outcomes. We don’t separate strategy from creative, and we don’t measure success by output alone. The work has to move something.

For nearly 25 years, we’ve been building brands and growing businesses for clients across New England and beyond. We’re a small team, the work is real, and our clients are invested in what we help them build. We work across healthcare, hospitality, media, manufacturing, nonprofit, and more, and the people here are expected to think carefully and execute well across all of it.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a client-facing role at its core. You’ll own relationships across a portfolio of accounts, keep work moving with clarity and confidence, and serve as the connective tissue between our clients and our internal teams.

At wedü, account management and project management live together. The right person for this role should enjoy both sides of the work. You’ll have a genuine voice in how the work gets shaped and where accounts go over time, not just how it gets delivered.

You’ll manage a portfolio of 6 to 10 accounts at any given time across different industries and types of work. One week might have you steering a healthcare web project through final review while managing a hospitality campaign in flight and kicking off a new nonprofit engagement. Some people love that kind of variety. Some people don’t.

Agency experience is required for this role. Managing accounts inside an agency is fundamentally different from managing marketing internally, and we’re looking for someone who already knows that difference.

WHAT YOU’LL OWN

  • Owning the full project lifecycle on your accounts: writing the brief, building the timeline, managing internal teams across creative, strategy, development, and digital, and making sure nothing falls through the cracks from kickoff to delivery
  • Day-to-day client relationships across a portfolio of accounts that spans industries, project types, and levels of complexity
  • Shaping how accounts grow over time, identifying opportunities and contributing to conversations about where the work should go next
  • Managing budgets and scopes with a close eye, catching issues before they become problems
  • Reviewing deliverables before they go out the door and holding the bar on quality
  • Contributing to business development through proposals, scopes, and client conversations
  • Anticipating what clients need before they ask for it

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • 5 to 8 years of agency experience managing client accounts with real ownership. In-house marketing experience alone won’t be the right fit for this role
  • Proven ability to run complex projects independently. You know how to build a plan, hold a team to it, and keep a client informed without over-communicating or under-delivering
  • You’re not just keeping clients informed — you’re shaping how they think about the work and where it’s going. That’s the level of client leadership we’re looking for
  • Our clients don’t think in channels and neither should you. You need to be fluent across the full marketing mix — digital, social, email, paid media, brand, web, events, and content — not as a specialist in any of them, but as someone who understands how they connect and can help clients get the most out of each. If you’ve only lived in one or two channels, this role will be a stretch
  • Strong organizational instincts. You track details without being reminded and flag risks early
  • Clear communicator in all directions: with clients, with internal teams, and in writing
  • Confidence in a client-facing room. You can hold a conversation, manage expectations, and push back when you need to
  • Experience with project management tools, systems and ideologies

HOW WE WORK

We move fast and hold high standards. The work is complex, the clients are invested, and the bar for quality is real.

At the same time, we care about doing strong work without creating unnecessary chaos around it. The people who tend to do well here are calm under pressure, collaborative, thoughtful, and accountable. You’ll have a lot of autonomy in this role and will be expected to take ownership of your accounts and the quality of the work that comes with them.

THE DETAILS

Salary: $85,000 to $100,000

Schedule: Hybrid · Tuesday through Thursday in office (Manchester, NH)

Type: Full-time

Benefits: Health insurance, paid time off, 401(k) match

WHY THIS ROLE

This is a role with meaningful ownership from the start. You’ll work closely with people across strategy, creative, development, and digital, and you’ll have a real voice in how projects move forward and how client relationships evolve over time.

We’re looking for someone who is genuinely good at this work, wants to keep getting better at it, and wants to be part of a team that cares about doing things well.

HOW TO APPLY

Send your resume along with a short note to amy@wedu.com covering four things: the type of accounts you’ve managed, how you typically keep projects on track across multiple workstreams, a client situation where you had to pull from more than one channel or discipline to solve a problem and what you recommended, and what you’re looking for in your next role.

Applications without the note won’t be reviewed.
