Professional driver/guide

Tour guides/ Drivers required: Award winning Terra and Tide, a leading luxury tourism company is looking for 2 professional driver/ guides in Auckland and this is your opportunity to join us for next summer season and beyond. We run ½ and full day private tours in Auckland, Matakana Coast, Waiheke Island and Northland We are looking for an experienced driver/guide or someone who wishes to start their guiding career to deliver our tours in Auckland region. Our guides lead active days that include some walking, so you must enjoy being outdoors and have a love of nature. You also need to be passionate about sharing our place with our manuhiri and bringing it alive for them through your storytelling and interpretation. Knowledge around flora and fauna, conservation in the area, Maori history and culture, art,food and wine is a definite advantage and our long term guides are passionate about developing their knowledge in these areas. We are a growing, dynamic business and while we already have a great team, with our expansion in the Auckland we are looking for locals who wish to guide for us. We are looking for people to be train in September and be available Oct to May particularly during the Christmas & New Year period but can work around prior commitments. Winter work is also available Applicants should have a 'Passenger Endorsement ' on your driver's licence and must be licensed for Class 1 (which is just the normal car license). You will have prior tour guide or similar customer service experience and a proven track record of excelling in customer-facing roles. Full guiding training will be given to the right people. We are looking for people who are able to work independently and are able to effectively solve problems as required with a cool head. We have a great team culture and are committed to working long term with the right people as we grow. Applicants must have a valid NZ work permit. The job could include doing any one of our tours in the north. If you are the right person, full training will be given on any or all of our tours in the North.
