Positions are part-time, temporary, non-tenure, and contingent upon course offerings, sufficient student enrollment, position clearance and availability of funding. Must be available to teach courses during the day, evening, weekend, and/or via distance learning, as needed.Duties and ResponsibilitiesConduct lectures and/or laboratories for the Bachelor’s Degree (BS) in Astronomy.Teach General Education lecture and/or laboratory astronomy courses offered by the Department of Physics and Astronomy.Maintain a minimum of one office hour per week for each course taught.Minimum QualificationsMaster’s degree in astronomy or a closely related field from an accredited institutionEvidence of satisfactory teaching ability.Desirable QualificationsCollege-level astronomy teaching experience beyond the teaching assistant level.Demonstrated high-quality teaching in a multicultural setting.Experience with astronomy laboratory equipment, in particular small aperture telescopesTo Apply: Click on the "Apply" button on the top right corner of the screen to complete an application and attach each of the required documents.
