Senior Customer Service Representative

Pay: $24.00 – $29.00/hr

Schedule: Mon–Fri, 8:30 AM – 5:15 PM

We are seeking a Senior Customer Service Representative with a background in manufacturing to join our Sales Operations team. In this role, you will handle daily order entry, manage phone and email interactions, and resolve EDI errors. You will collaborate closely with internal departments and multi-state manufacturing plants (including West Virginia and Texas) to track shipments and expedite orders.

Requirements:

  • 3–5 years of call center or related experience.

  • Industry experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Proficiency in SAP, AS400, and EDI systems.

  • strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Communication & Collaboration

  • Manage daily customer interactions via phone and email; attend all team meetings.

  • Coordinate with regional manufacturing plants (WV, TX, etc.) on order status and shipping.

Order Entry & Management

  • Process daily order entry, provide quotes, resolve errors, and handle EDI issues.

  • Review daily open order reports; proactively communicate delays, backorders, and policy updates (discontinuations, shutdowns) to customers.

  • Maintain deep knowledge of product lines, pricing, delivery times, and drop-ship items.

  • Partner with Sales and operations to expedite/prioritize orders and distribute samples.

  • Main point of contact for customer inquiries, data corrections, and non-order requests (W9s, COIs, product forms).

  • Collaborate internally to align CSR messaging regarding plant lead times without sharing confidential data.

  • Build strong relationships with key customer accounts to resolve order challenges.

Accountability & Leadership

  • Own the customer experience from end to end; identify proactive service opportunities.

  • Train and onboard new hires on company products, systems, policies, and procedures.
