Maintenance Technician

Job Summary

A Maintenance Technician performs maintenance tasks in a liquid and powder processing facility, including installing, inspecting, and repairing equipment. The role ensures equipment reliability through preventive maintenance and supports improvement initiatives focused on safety and efficiency, as well as assisting with capital projects and equipment upgrades.

Job Description

  • Maintain, troubleshoot, install, remove, replace, and perform preventative maintenance on the following types of industrial equipment.
    • Pumps, which include, but are not limited to, centrifugal pumps, positive displacement pumps, and air operated diaphragm pumps.
    • Fans, blowers, and dust collectors.
    • Belt driven and gear box driven rotary equipment.
    • Air compressors
    • Any additional manufacturing equipment
  • Detect minor and/or major problems by troubleshooting and performing diagnostic tests.
  • Plan, coordinate and execute smaller scale projects as assigned.
  • Partner with and assist the plant engineer to plan, coordinate, and execute larger scale projects and capital projects.
  • Work on piping and pipe fitting to include PVC, threading of 2” and less.
  • Fulfill all preventative maintenance per the site PM program, make suggestions regarding scheduling as necessary.
  • Keep accurate and clear records of repairs, routine industrial maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Meet and escort outside vendors
  • Weld smaller parts/machines when necessary.
  • Order supplies as needed and to maintain build to levels of onsite stocked inventory.
  • Collaborate with plant engineer to provide insight and suggestions to SOPs.
  • Adherent to all safety standards
  • All other tasks assigned by supervisors/managers

What will it take

Education: HS Diploma or equivalent required, associate degree or relevant certifications in maintenance/industrial technology and high-pressure boiler license preferred

Experience: 2 years’ industrial maintenance in manufacturing environment

Special Requirements and Independency: Attention to detail is a must, be familiar with the routine operation of manufacturing equipment and quickly spot unusual occurrences.

Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift to 50 lbs., stand, walk, reach, stoop, squat, climb ramps & stairs, push and pull, reach at or below waist level and occasionally overhead, drive (forklift), hear, understand, and distinguish speech and other sounds (machinery alarms).

  • Fit for duty physical is required for this position

Salary Range

The base pay rate is $31.30 - $38.25.In addition to hiring pay, compensation package may include additional components such as health benefits, life insurance, 401K, vacation and yearly bonus incentive.
