Job Title: Independent Contractor – Pediatric Occupational Therapist
Location: Outpatient Private Practice
Position Type: 1099 Independent Contractor (Part-Time or Full-Time Opportunities Available)

We are a growing, family-centered outpatient pediatric therapy practice committed to providing high-quality, evidence-based services in a supportive and collaborative environment. Our clinic values creativity, neurodiversity-affirming care, and strong partnerships with families and the community. We focus on therapist specialization; the current team is specialized in developmental trauma and pediatric regulation intervention. Other therapists specialized in this area are encouraged to join the team, as well as other clinical specialties will be nurtured.

Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate, motivated, and experienced Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our team as an independent contractor. The ideal candidate is passionate about working with children and families, comfortable working independently, and interested in building and maintaining their own caseload within a supportive private practice setting.

Responsibilities

· Provide comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and treatment for children (ages birth–16)

· Develop individualized, client-centered treatment plans

· Deliver engaging, evidence-based interventions targeting fine motor, sensory processing, self-regulation, executive functioning, ADLs, and social participation

· Complete timely documentation (evaluations, daily notes, progress reports, re-evaluations)

· Communicate effectively with families, caregivers, and other professionals

· Maintain compliance with state licensure and ethical standards

· Participate in occasional team meetings and collaboration as needed

Qualifications

· Bachelors, Masters, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy (will consider COTA applicants)

· Current MI OT license in good standing

· NBCOT certification

· Minimum of 1–2 years pediatric experience preferred (new graduates with strong pediatric fieldwork considered)

· Experience in sensory integration, childhood trauma, or neurodivergent-affirming practices is a plus

· Strong communication and organizational skills

· Ability to work independently and manage caseload effectively
