Senior Accountant - Construction

Rapidly growing Southern Indiana concrete company is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its Finance Department and support its continued growth.

As Senior Accountant, you are responsible for the accurate and timely entry and reporting of data in the company’s Quick Books Accounting system. You will be involved in accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll and employee benefits, cash and loan management, general ledger management, month end closing, budget analysis, and key financial reporting. This includes maintaining and updating reports, spreadsheets, charts and graphs to reflect operating results.

You will present financial reports to management and the leadership team, including key performance indicators, historical and departmental data, forecasts, and budget variances.

The ideal candidate will have –

• 4+ years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a construction environment.
• Proficiency in Excel required.
• Job Tread Software experience is a plus.
• Experience with DOT and Fuel Tax requirements is a plus.
• Fluent in both English and Spanish a plus.
• Attention to detail and accuracy is critical.
• Strong analytical skills and problem solving.
• Ability to present financial information to non-financial managers.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with customers, vendors and co-workers.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
