Architectural AutoCAD Project Manager/Designer

Location: Dayton, Ohio

Job Type: Full-Time

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented and experienced Architectural AutoCAD technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist the architect and project managers in developing accurate architectural drawings and construction documents for residential and commercial projects. This role requires strong AutoCAD proficiency, an understanding of architectural design standards, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

· Prepare detailed architectural drawings, floor plans, elevations, sections, and construction documents using AutoCAD

· Convert conceptual sketches and design ideas into technical drawings

· Revise and update drawings based on architectural and client feedback

· Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, and contractors

· Ensure drawings comply with applicable building codes, zoning regulations, and project specifications

· Assist with permit and bid drawing packages

· Maintain organized project files and drawing documentation

· Conduct site visits and field measurements when required

· Support project timelines by meeting drafting deadlines and deliverables

Qualifications

· Associate degree or certification in Architectural Drafting, Architecture, or related field

· Proficiency in AutoCAD required

· Experienced with Revit, SketchUp or BIM software is a plus

· Strong understanding or architectural drafting standards and construction documents

· Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings

· Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

· Strong communication and teamwork abilities

Experience Requirements

· 5+ years of architectural drafting experience preferred

· Experience with residential and/or commercial projects preferred

Preferred Skills

· Knowledge of building codes and permitting process

· Familiarity with construction methods and materials

· Strong time management and problem-solving skills

· Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
