The Division of Hematology
at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus has an opening for a full-time instructor with expertise in hematologic malignancies
to join the Division, and is seeking a Board certified or board eligible hematologist and/or oncologist for this purpose.
The new
faculty member would be expected to participate in clinical and translational research related to leukemia, and to engage in training of
medical residents, fellows, and others associated with the Division. The Hematology Division of the Department of Medicine, University of
Colorado School of Medicine, has its own very successful and highly efficient Clinical Trials Unit, allowing for a robust program in drug
development and other studies, and includes tissue banking. There are extensive resources and opportunities for basic science,
translational, and clinical research on campus in hematology and through cross-divisional networking. The Division is fully committed to the
clinical and academic success of the new faculty member. The individual would become part of a fantastic group of academic clinicians
establishing the University of Colorado as a center of excellence in hematology.
Key
Responsibilities:
- Ambulatory-based patient care, caring for patients with blood cancers
- Partner with Hospital and School
of Medicine partners to grow and build the hematological malignancies program
- Supervising nurse practitioners, physician assistants,
nurses, fellows, residents, and medical students as needed
- Develop a research program
- Participate in and leading outreach
activities, including outreach clinics outside the CU-Anschutz campus, educational events for patients and their families, camps for
patients, work with patient advocacy groups, and other similar initiatives
Work
Location:Onsite - this role is expected to work onsite full time, in various sites on the Anschutz Medical Campus
located in Aurora, CO.

Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications:Applicants must meet minimum
qualifications at the time of hire.
- MD or DO degree
- Board Certified in Hematology and/or Oncology
- Eligible for
Colorado state medical license
- Experience in treating patients with hematological disorders
- Able to obtain credentials and
privileges at the University of Colorado Hospital and with CU Medicine
Preferred
Qualifications:- Research experience
- Experience with regulatory and quality improvement activities
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:- Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally
- Ability
to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution
- Outstanding
customer service skills

Anticipated Pay Range:The starting
salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as
HIRING RANGE: Instructor - $125,000 -
$200,000
The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of
possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
