Job Description:
We are looking for a Senior QA / Technical Support Engineer to join our growing team at Bidview Marketing. This is a senior-level, hands-on role, not just a reviewer, but someone who can get in and do the work. You will build, troubleshoot, debug, and own quality across multiple client projects. You will work closely behind our design and development leads, catching issues before they escalate and stepping in to resolve them directly rather than simply passing them back.

The ideal candidate has a strong development background, is comfortable in both WordPress and Astro environments, uses AI tools as a natural part of their workflow, and is self-directed enough to manage multiple ongoing projects without constant supervision.

Key Responsibilities:
Web Development & Technical Execution

  • Build, update, and maintain client websites in both WordPress and Astro, implementing designs from Figma with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Write and edit clean Python, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to resolve front-end issues, implement layout changes, and support feature development.
  • Assist with API integrations, understanding how data is pulled and rendered on the front end, and troubleshooting issues when things break.
  • Support deployment workflows within Cloudflare and Astro environments, including worker setups and configuration.
  • Manage GitHub version control workflows, branching, pull requests, and ensuring concurrent team changes do not override each other. Quality Assurance & Testing
  • Conduct thorough QA reviews on web development projects before handoff, covering functionality, mobile responsiveness, browser compatibility, and performance.
  • Review and test website builds against Figma designs and defined standards, documenting issues clearly in ClickUp.
  • Perform regression testing after changes are implemented to confirm no new issues have been introduced.
  • Own QA end-to-end, not just flagging bugs, but verifying fixes and signing off on deliverables before they go to the lead team. Technical Support & Debugging
  • Serve as a first line of technical troubleshooting when issues arise during or after project launches.
  • Diagnose and resolve front-end, integration, and compatibility issues independently, not just document them for someone else to fix.
  • Support the development team by reducing the back-and-forth between QA and development through direct problem resolution. AI-Assisted Workflows
  • Use AI development tools including OpenAI Codex, Google Gemini, and Claude as an active part of your daily workflow such as for coding, QA scripting, documentation, and efficiency.
  • Stay current on AI tools relevant to web development and proactively recommend integrations that improve team output. Collaboration & Communication
  • Work closely with design and development leads to understand project requirements and quality expectations before work begins.
  • Communicate issues clearly in ClickUp, steps to reproduce, expected vs. actual behavior, and priority level.
  • Provide proactive status updates and flag blockers early. No ghosting on timelines. Process & Standards
  • Help establish and maintain internal QA checklists and development standards to ensure consistency across all client projects.
  • Identify patterns in recurring issues and recommend process improvements to reduce rework across the team.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience (5+ years) in web development, QA, or technical support in a digital agency or similar environment.
  • Solid, hands-on proficiency in WordPress including theme customization, Elementor or similar page builders, and plugin management.
  • Familiarity with Astro or similar modern static site frameworks is strongly preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of Python, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. You can read, debug, and write code, not just review it.
  • Experience with GitHub for version control, including branching, pull requests, and resolving merge conflicts.
  • Experience working with APIs and understanding of how data is pulled and rendered on the front end.
  • Active, daily proficiency with AI coding tools such as OpenAI Codex, Google Gemini, and Claude
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously without dropping the ball.
  • Excellent written communication skills; able to document and escalate issues clearly without hand-holding.
  • Self-directed, accountable, and able to manage your own workload with minimal supervision.
