Weekend Evening or Morning Facility Coordinator

Part Time - Saturday & Sunday

STEP DENVER – Located at 2029 Larimer St, Denver, CO

- Is in recovery from the disease of addiction, abstinent from all mind-altering substances, and must be able to pass a drug/alcohol test.

- Can balance being approachable and flexible while also holding people accountable to high standards

- Will put Step’s residents first and exemplify the core principles of sobriety, work, accountability, and community

- Possesses strong organizational, communication, and computer skills

- Believes in help that restores self-sufficiency

- Detailed orientated and has good time management

COMPENSATION

- $19.29 per hour – Part Time

ABOUT STEP DENVER

Step’s mission is to give men with nowhere else to turn the opportunity to overcome addiction through sobriety, work, accountability, and community.

STRUCTURE & TEAM

Step Denvers’ Weekend Facility Coordinator is a part-time hourly position, standard schedule is Saturday & Sunday 2pm until 10pm, reporting to the Director of Programs.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Weekend Facility Coordinator reports to the Director of Programs and is responsible for the general oversight of the Step Denevr facility and its residents.

· Manage incoming calls regarding the Step facility.

· Distribute approved resident medication as prescribed at the resident's request.

· Assign community service tasks to those residents who have accumulated them.

· Ensure that all bathroom and kitchen chores are completed by the residents assigned.

· Walk the facility at a minimum of once per hour, ensuring safety and security of the facility, residents, and staff are being upheld.

· Provide the residents with commendations or consequences when and where necessary with respect to their adherence to the rights, responsibilities, and rules of the facility.

· Administer urinalysis and breathalyzer tests to residents where required.

· Document all facility and resident information in the Daily Shift Report.

· Assist with resident Peer Coaching.

Additional Responsibilities

· Maintain all necessary files.

· Use effective written and verbal communication skills.

· Use effective interpersonal skills and treat everyone with dignity and respect.

· Propose new ideas for programmatic improvements to management.

· Return phone calls, e-mails, and correspondence in a timely manner.

· Immediately advise the supervisor of significant and unexpected problems.

· Promote and demonstrate teamwork and cooperation.

· Completes assignments, projects, reports, and paperwork accurately and timely.

· Safeguard all Step property.

· Follow and enforce all of Step policies and procedures. Act in a safe manner at all times.

· Act as a good steward of program funds & resources.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

Must have Must have a general understanding of Janitorial and Security roles.

Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.

Step reserves the right to conduct a criminal background check
before and during employment.

Required to participate in regular alcohol and drug testing.
