SFDS LLC is a full-service scenic fabrication and design shop located at 239 Java Street, Brooklyn, NY 11222. We transform brand visions into extraordinary, tangible experiences, handling all services in-house - such as scenic painting, foam sculpting, props, carpentry, CNC, metal work, creative engineering, 3D printing, design, installation, and more.

We are seeking a skilled and motivated CNC Drafter & Operator to join our team full-time. The ideal candidate will have strong drafting experience, CNC machine operation knowledge, and proficiency in Rhino software.

Salary: Starting at $35/hr (commensurate with experience)Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

• Create detailed shop drawings and production files
• Program and operate CNC machinery
• Prepare and modify CAD/CAM files for fabrication
• Collaborate with production and design teams
• Ensure accuracy, efficiency, and quality throughout the manufacturing process
• Maintain organized project files and production documentation

Requirements

• Proficiency in Rhino (required)
• Experience with CNC programming and machine operation
• Strong drafting and technical drawing skills
• Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects

Position Details

• Full-time
• Monday–Friday
• 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM

Compensation

• Starting at $35/hour
• Salary commensurate with experience
