ACCOUNTING ASSISTANT (TEMPORARY) – MANITOWOC, WI (ON-SITE)
ABR Employment Services is partnering with a well-established manufacturing employer in the Manitowoc area to hire an Accounting Assistant to provide coverage during a maternity leave. This is a great opportunity to build hands-on accounting/payroll experience—and for the right person, this assignment could be extended.
PAY & SCHEDULE
- $19–$22/hour (some flexibility for strong skills/experience)
- Hours are flexible (may consider part-time for the right candidate)
- Typical schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Support bi-weekly payroll processing and related documentation
- Assist with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable (A/P & A/R)
- Help with customer invoicing and payment processing
- Enter and maintain accurate financial data in accounting software and spreadsheets
- Assist with reconciliations and resolving discrepancies
- Verify accuracy of invoices, reports, and financial postings
- Maintain organized files/records and support special projects as needed
- Provide front desk coverage (answer phones, greet visitors, route inquiries)
- Handle sensitive payroll/financial information with confidentiality
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Post-high school education in Accounting/Business (or currently pursuing), or equivalent experience
- 2–4 years of accounting support experience preferred (flexible depending on education/skill level)
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through; dependable and team-oriented
- Comfortable communicating with employees, vendors, and customers professionally
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
- ADP and/or Sage 100 experience is a plus
