Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a Pediatrics/Med-Surg Rehab opportunity in a large acute care hospital setting. The RN will provide high-quality patient-centered care while collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities: - Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
- Provide direct bedside nursing care to pediatric and rehabilitation patients
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments accurately
- Perform wound care, infection control procedures, IV therapy, catheter insertion, and dressing changes
- Monitor patient vital signs and report adverse reactions promptly
- Operate and adjust specialized medical equipment as required
- Educate patients and families regarding procedures, treatments, and post-operative care
- Collaborate with healthcare teams on discharge planning and continuity of care
- Maintain accurate patient documentation, medical records, and charts
- Adhere to established nursing standards, policies, and protocols
Requirements: - Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution required
- Active New York State RN License with Primary Source Verification required
- AHA BLS Certification required
- Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Rehab experience in a large acute care hospital required
- Most recent experience must be within the last year required
