Sales Manager (E&S) - Kansas City, MO - Confidential Search
Our real estate insurance client is looking for a Sales Manager to join their team immediately for an on site full time hybrid role in Kansas City, MO.
Responsibilities
Drive sales strategies and manages pipeline growth for non-standard, specialty commercial risks (e.g., coastal properties, high-hazard construction, large habitational, storage).
Cultivate and expand networks with retail insurance agents, wholesale brokers, and Managing General Agents (MGAs).
Recruits, mentors, and directs specialized E&S sales teams and underwriters.
Design and implement foundational operational workflows for Commercial E&S products from submission to policy issuance.
Act as the operational product owner, representing underwriting needs.
Establish baseline operational metrics and KPIs.
Design reporting and tracking to facilitate operational effectiveness.
Coordinate between operations and product development.
Monitor and analyze operational trends to inform process improvements.
Define operational success criteria for new product launches.
Collaborate with underwriters to document operational requirements.
Manage integration of third-party services into operational workflows.
Identify opportunities to optimize vendor utilization and document vendor-related processes and procedures.
Compensation for this role is $140-S150k on salary based on years of experience.

Skills and Requirements
5+ years in surplus linesStrong background in complex commercial property/casualty, professional liability, or specialty risk.
5+ years leading teams (Managing General Agency)Strong background working with MGAs, underwriters and brokers.
Familiarity with agency systems like Applied and Vertafore
Certifications: CPCU (Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter), CIC (Certified Insurance Counselor) or ASLI (Associate in Surplus Lines Insurance) Strong commercial/construction/retail background
Familiarity with natural disaster insurance areas
