Pay: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year

Supports an Electronic Materials production facility that is dedicated to the purification and packaging of high-purity gasses and chemicals for customers in the semiconductor industry. This role contributes to international shipping compliance for both imports and exports of raw and finished materials. We are looking for someone who collaborates across the organization with the International/Domestic Shipping Manager, product supply, asset specialist, plant personnel, and multiple Air Liquide Affiliates globally.
Responsibilities
Guide and support all local aspects of International Trade Compliance for plant raw materials and finished goods delivery
Guide and support the activities performed by 3rd party service providers (Forwarding Agents and Customs Brokers)
Support and facilitate (planning, organization, adjustments, communication) the day to day international shipping to champion safe, reliable and on-time performance, in alignment with applicable regulations and standard operating procedures
Ideally, you bring a deep understanding of U.S. import/export regulations
Champion the record-keeping of import and export transactions to uphold compliance with any audit or request from a government agency
Perform other secondary transportation related functions in alignment with US DOT federal and state regulations
Collaborate with brokers/carriers for international deliveries to and from ports
Guide and support the communication with Air Liquide Affiliates and freight forwarders on import and exports
Nurture relationships with common carriers for the delivery and pickup of cylinders as well as other materials
Proactively balance PSM levels to remain within depot limits
Maintain connection with all freight forwarders on all international imports & exports
Contribute to any International Audits
Create clearance documents such as import release, ISF, commercial invoices, PL, shipping letter of instruction, certificates of origin, and filing AES.
Take ownership of keeping international documentations compliant & updated
Guide all vendor raw material returns
Deepen understanding of and uphold all Safety and Quality regulations/guidelines while on company property and report any accident, incident and near misses
Contribute to the yearly GHG report
Take ownership of the general work area using 5S methodology
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
1+ years relevant experience
Proficiency in the English language
Good mechanical skills and aptitude
Basic knowledge of the properties/characteristics of products being handled
Experience working with multi-international sites
Self started able to work independently and under minimal supervision
Takes ownership of their given areas of responsibility
Be able to accurately perform basic arithmetic calculations
Experience Google Office Suite, Oracle
Preferred Qualifications
2+ years of experience shipping Hazmat in the following: IATA, IMDG, and DOT
Industrial gas experience
