Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Long Term Care (Night Shift)

Location: Eureka, Kansas, United States
Duration: 13 Weeks Contract
Shift: Night Shift (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM)
Facility: Skilled Nursing Facility

Job Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide direct resident care in a long-term care setting. The role involves working independently during night shifts while ensuring high-quality patient care, safety, and accurate clinical documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing facility

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed

• Monitor patient conditions and report changes to appropriate medical staff

• Maintain accurate documentation using Point Click Care (PCC)

• Supervise and support resident care activities during shift

• Perform nursing procedures such as wound care, catheter care, and specimen collection

• Take and record vital signs (BP, TPR, etc.)

• Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols

• Maintain communication with healthcare team as needed

• Handle care responsibilities independently during night shift coverage

• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Active LPN License (Kansas or compact state)

• Graduation from an approved LPN program

• BLS/CPR Certification required

• IV Certification preferred

• Strong ability to work independently (single nurse coverage setting)

• Experience in long-term care preferred

• Strong clinical judgment and documentation skills
