Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated early-career engineer or designer who wants to grow into a future leadership role within a consulting engineering and architecture firm.

This is not a narrow technical drafting role. We are looking for someone who wants to learn how projects are designed, managed, coordinated, reviewed, delivered, and ultimately how a consulting business operates profitably.

The ideal candidate is technically capable, highly motivated, business-minded, organized, and eager to grow quickly.

This role is ideal for someone who:

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in one of the following:
  • Civil Engineering
  • Structural Engineering
  • Architectural Engineering
  • Willingness to work on custom residential and light commercial projects
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn quickly
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Ability to physically navigate project sites including climbing concrete formwork and navigating uneven terrain

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Structural Engineering or Architectural Engineering
  • 0–2 years of professional experience
  • EIT certification (preferred but not required)
  • Four wheel drive vehicle for reaching remote job sites

Experience with:

  • Revit
  • SketchUp
  • AutoCAD
  • Bluebeam
  • MS Word/Excel

Responsibilities

  • Assist with design and production for residential and light commercial projects
  • Coordinate drawings and project information
  • Help review plans for accuracy and completeness
  • Participate in client meetings and project coordination
  • Support permitting and jurisdictional coordination
  • Assist with field observations and construction support
  • Help improve internal workflows and standards
  • Utilize AI to improve business processes, workflows, and software
  • Learn how consulting projects are managed financially and operationally
