Market Greeter

The Role

We're looking for a friendly, outgoing, and vibrant person to be the first face guests see when they walk through our doors. As our Guest Services Greeter, you'll welcome visitors, help them navigate the market, and manage our cashless gift card exchange station — converting cash into Parkville Market gift cards so every guest can enjoy everything the food hall has to offer.

This role is perfect for someone who genuinely enjoys talking to people, stays upbeat in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in making someone's day a little better.

What You'll Do

• Welcome every guest with energy and a positive attitude
• Operate the cash-to-gift-card exchange station using Square POS
• Create custom gift cards on the spot for guests paying with cash
• Answer questions about vendors, menus, events, hours, and the market in general
• Help guests find what they're looking for
• Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting greeter station
• Communicate with management and shift supervisors about any guest issues or operational needs
• Support special events and high-traffic periods as needed

Who You Are

• Naturally warm, approachable, and high-energy — you light up a room
• Comfortable talking to strangers all day and making them feel welcome
• Reliable and punctual — you show up on time, every time
• Able to handle cash accurately and operate a POS system (we'll train you on Square)
• Cool under pressure during busy rushes — you don't get flustered, you get friendly
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a strong plus but not required
• Available to work evenings and weekends — that's when the market is busiest
• Previous customer service, hospitality, or retail experience is a plus but personality matters more
