Duties and Responsibilities

  • Help individuals with everyday needs like meals, mobility, and personal care while treating everyone with dignity and respect
  • Bring energy and creativity to the day by supporting fun activities, games, and community outings
  • Encourage independence and help individuals build confidence and life skills
  • Safely transport individuals to and from activities using agency vehicles (including wheelchair lifts and tie-downs)
  • Keep simple, accurate records like daily notes, attendance, and activity logs
  • Work as part of a team to create a positive, supportive, and engaging environment for everyone

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Valid NYS Driver’s License required
  • Experience in caregiving (HHA, CNA, PCA, or similar) is a plus—but not required (paid training provided)
  • Comfortable assisting with hands-on care, including lifting and supporting individuals with daily needs
  • Friendly, dependable, and team-oriented with a positive attitude
  • Enjoys working with people and creating a supportive, upbeat environment
