Duties and Responsibilities
- Help individuals with everyday needs like meals, mobility, and personal care while treating everyone with dignity and respect
- Bring energy and creativity to the day by supporting fun activities, games, and community outings
- Encourage independence and help individuals build confidence and life skills
- Safely transport individuals to and from activities using agency vehicles (including wheelchair lifts and tie-downs)
- Keep simple, accurate records like daily notes, attendance, and activity logs
- Work as part of a team to create a positive, supportive, and engaging environment for everyone
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Valid NYS Driver’s License required
- Experience in caregiving (HHA, CNA, PCA, or similar) is a plus—but not required (paid training provided)
- Comfortable assisting with hands-on care, including lifting and supporting individuals with daily needs
- Friendly, dependable, and team-oriented with a positive attitude
- Enjoys working with people and creating a supportive, upbeat environment
