Overview
The Administrative Assistant will work for the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and the Institutional Advancement Office. The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for handling administrative tasks for the Associate Dean, including typing, scheduling meetings, answering phones and other projects as assigned and will also work with the Institutional Advancement Office to handle record keeping responsibilities, including gift management and correspondence.
Responsibilities
Works directly with the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs on a wide range of administrative tasks and projects.
Provides administrative and secretarial support to the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs including: scheduling meetings, preparing letters for signature, typing, answering phones, proctoring, and other tasks as assigned.
Attends and assists with Institutional Advancement law school events, both at the Law Center and off-site. Staffing for events includes some evenings and Sundays.
Assists with coordinating board and other advisory committee meetings and materials for the Assistant Dean for Institutional Advancement.
Maintains all record keeping for the Institutional Advancement Office.
Creates reports and list queries as needed for mailings, events, and outreach efforts.
Performs other duties and completes projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Education/Experience
Bachelor's degree preferred.
Experience as an Administrative Assistant preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including expert knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Highly energetic organized and efficient with a "get things done" attitude.
Fast, yet a detail-oriented and accurate worker.
Discreet ability to keep sensitive information confidential.
Ability to problem solve and exhibit a positive attitude.
Entirely dependable: Completes tasks assigned; knows how to keep the Associate Deans updated as to progress or completion; knows when to raise issues requiring the Associate Dean's guidance or intervention.
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with people at all levels.
Outstanding ability to manage multiple priorities.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proven ability as a team player.
Strong analytical skills and project management skills.
PC expertise required
Knowledge of Canvas a plus.
Knowledge of Raiser's Edge a plus.
Travel
As needed for events/conferences.

Maximum Salary
USD $50,000.00/Yr.
Minimum Salary
USD $40,000.00/Yr.
