The State of New Hampshire, Department of Transportation, Bureau of Bridge Maintenance, has a full-time vacancy for a Civil Engineer IV.
SUMMARY:
To perform professional engineering supervision of statewide bridge maintenance functions. All accountabilities must be performed in accordance with Federal, State and Department rules and policies, including risk management, safety and environmental standards, regulations and administrative orders.
YOUR EXPERIENCE COUNTS: Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience and/or each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Experience:
Education: Master's degree from an accredited institute of higher education with a major study in engineering.
Experience: Four years of post-baccalaureate experience in engineering.
OREducation: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institute of higher education with a major study in engineering.
Experience: Six years of post-baccalaureate experience in engineering.
OREducation: Associate's degree from an accredited institute of higher education with a major study in engineering or engineering technology.
Experience: Six years of experience in engineering at a level equivalent to Civil Engineer I (or higher), plus two additional years of experience in a position comparable to an Engineering Technician.
License/Certification:
Valid driver's license or access to transportation
Professional Engineer (PE) License with designation in Civil, Civil Highway, Geo Technical or Structural Engineering
Other Requirements: Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) must meet the minimum standards as established by the hiring agency.

AFTER-HIRE REQUIREMENTS: Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of New Hampshire within one year of employment.
