Job Title: Occupational Therapist
Location: Syracuse, NY
Type: Contract | 14 Weeks
Shift & Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM | 42.5 Hours/Week | One Weekend Rotation per Month
Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking Occupational Therapist for an exciting Travel or Local job in Syracuse, NY.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and assessments
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on physician orders and patient needs
- Establish measurable rehabilitation goals and monitor patient progress
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Educate patients and family members regarding treatment plans, recovery strategies, and home programs
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation and patient records
- Participate in clinics, patient rounds, case conferences, and care planning meetings
- Ensure proper maintenance and utilization of therapy equipment and supplies
- Contribute to staff education and departmental quality improvement initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Occupational Therapy required
- Current New York State Occupational Therapy License or eligibility for licensure required
- Minimum 2 years of Occupational Therapy experience required
- Acute Care experience required (Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation experience alone does not qualify)
- Outpatient Occupational Therapy experience required
- Strong evaluation, treatment planning, and patient education skills
- Excellent communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Neuro Rehabilitation experience preferred
- Concussion Management experience in an outpatient setting preferred
- Experience working in a hospital-based rehabilitation environment preferred
