Job Description

Hours: 40 hours per week, 6:30am to 2:30pm, Monday to Friday. Attendance at INSET days and Open Mornings is required. There is a requirement for some weekend and evening work during term time.Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only (35 weeks per year)We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to become a Kitchen Assistant in the catering department at St George’s College. You will provide assistance to the Head Chef and the Kitchen Team in all aspects of the catering delivery. Primarily looking after the Sandwich Bar, setting up the dessert section (including cutting up cakes), serving sandwiches and paninis at lunchtime, as well as preparing and garnishing food for buffets and other catering events as and when required. You will possess a strong work ethic, be proactive, and have a calm and composed disposition to manage the demands of this role. Experience of working within a busy team or on an individual basis is an advantage for this position. You will have experience of working with appropriate cleanliness, food hygiene and health and safety standards within a kitchen and storage setting, whilst maintaining accurate and up to date records for inspection purposes.
