Job Description
The Paducah Sun is looking for Press/Production for our Production Department.
Job entails the hauling and loading newsprint rolls in printing equipment, placing/hanging pf printing plates, assist in set-up of press for production runs, monitors paper for proper ink and water balance; assist in needed maintenance of DGM printing press and related equipment, with proper training. Move skids of inserts and rolls of newsprint along production line and assist with other areas as needed.
Shift is late nights to early mornings Monday-Friday.
Must have: High School Diploma or GED, computer literate and comfortable with touch screen technology; fast learner; alert and able to communicate; responsible for acting in a safe manner; adapt quickly to changes in workflow; must be personable and able to get along with others; should feel comfortable around high-speed machinery; not afraid of heights. Must be able to lift 50 lbs or more.
