We're looking for a Medical Receptionist for a client in Waterbury, CT! In this role, you will be the first point of contact for patients, visitors, and staff. You will greet visitors, answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and help keep the front office organized. You may also assist with tasks related to our audiology program, including checking in patients, verifying insurance, and handling patient records.
salary: $20 - $21 per hour
shift: First
work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM
education: High School
Responsibilities
- Welcome visitors and patients
- Answer and route phone calls
- Keep the reception area tidy
- Manage scheduling for conference rooms
- Handle mail, deliveries, and supplies
- Assist with copying, postage, and shipping needs
- Support audiology patients with check-in, scheduling, and payments
- Verify insurance information for patients
- Help with patient records and correspondence
- Perform special projects as needed
Qualifications: - Friendly and professional attitude
- Good multitasking skills
- strong communication skills
- bilingual in Spanish is a plus
- Experience with medical office systems and insurance verification is preferred
- Organized and able to manage time well
- High school diploma or equivalent required; healthcare or business degree is a plus
- At least 2 years of customer service experience in a medical setting
