BCBA – Adult Day Program & Residential Behavior Consultant (Multiple Locations)

Pay: $55.00–$68.00 per hour DOE (Depending on Experience)

Job Type: Part-Time (Potential for Full-Time Growth)

Expected Hours: 5–20+ hours per week

Applicants may apply for Day Program positions, Residential positions, or both.

Schedule Requirements

Behavior Management Day Program Positions:

  • Availability a minimum of 2–3 weekdays per week between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.

Adult Residential Positions:

  • Availability a minimum of 2–3 weekdays per week between 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.

Additional flexibility is preferred. Some remote work is permitted for report writing, data review, meetings, supervision, and other approved administrative responsibilities.

About the Position

We are seeking dedicated and experienced Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to provide behavioral consultation services to adults with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, intellectual disabilities, and complex behavioral support needs.

Multiple openings are available throughout Los Angeles County in both Behavior Management Day Programs and Adult Residential Facilities. Consultants provide behavioral assessment, consultation, staff training, behavior intervention planning, data analysis, report writing, and ongoing clinical oversight to support client success, safety, independence, and community integration.

For residential home assignments, BCBAs may also provide clinical oversight and supervision to assigned Behavior Specialists, including case review, treatment planning support, report review, field-based coaching, and ongoing guidance to ensure quality and consistency of services.

This position offers flexibility, autonomy, and the opportunity to work with adult populations in meaningful community-based settings. Candidates seeking alternatives to pediatric ABA services are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

Behavior Assessment & Evaluation

  • Conduct behavioral assessments through direct observation, interviews, record reviews, and standardized assessment tools.
  • Identify behavioral patterns and environmental variables influencing behavior.
  • Develop clinical recommendations based on assessment findings.

Behavior Intervention Planning

  • Develop and oversee individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
  • Create measurable behavior reduction and replacement behavior goals.
  • Ensure interventions remain person-centered, ethical, and evidence-based.

Data Analysis & Progress Monitoring

  • Review and analyze behavioral data.
  • Monitor treatment effectiveness and client progress.
  • Make data-driven recommendations and treatment modifications.

Staff Training & Consultation

  • Train direct support professionals, program staff, and facility leadership.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, consultation, and performance feedback.
  • Conduct formal and informal staff trainings.

Documentation & Report Writing

  • Complete initial, quarterly, semi-annual, annual, and discharge reports.
  • Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation and session notes.
  • Review special incident reports and provide recommendations when appropriate.
  • Meet agency documentation deadlines and quality assurance standards.

Collaboration & Clinical Oversight

  • Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and case reviews.
  • Collaborate with administrators, behavior specialists, psychologists, healthcare providers, families, and Regional Center representatives.
  • Attend IPP meetings, interdisciplinary meetings, and treatment planning meetings as requested.
  • Provide clinical oversight, mentorship, and supervision to assigned Behavior Specialists when applicable.
  • Review reports, intervention plans, and behavioral recommendations developed by Behavior Specialists as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

  • Current BCBA certification in good standing
  • Master's Degree or higher
  • Minimum two years of ABA experience
  • Experience conducting behavioral assessments and developing Behavior Intervention Plans
  • Strong report-writing and clinical documentation skills
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
  • Ability to travel between assigned facilities

Preferred

  • Experience supporting adults with developmental disabilities
  • Experience in adult day programs, residential homes, group homes, or community-based adult services
  • Experience supervising Behavior Specialists, RBTs, or other direct-service staff
