Travel LPN/LVN – Correctional Facility | Rome, NY

Location: Rome, NY 13440
Contract Length: 26–52 Weeks
Shift: Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 6:53 AM)

Travel Pay: From $1650/week
Local Pay: From $35/hr

Description: We are seeking experienced Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) for a long-term travel assignment in a correctional healthcare setting in Rome, NY. This role offers the opportunity to provide essential patient care while working within a secure clinical environment.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications, including controlled substances
• Monitor vital signs and perform patient assessments
• Conduct health screenings and assist with admissions
• Provide wound care and dressing changes
• Manage feeding tubes and Foley catheters
• Respond to medical emergencies
• Document patient care and treatment accurately
• Communicate patient status changes to RNs and physicians
• Follow infection control, PPE, and facility safety protocols

Requirements:

• Active NY State LPN License
• BLS Certification
• Minimum 1 year of LPN experience
• Experience in skilled nursing, medical-surgical, ambulatory care, or correctional healthcare preferred
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a secure environment

• In-person interview required (Monday–Friday at 3:00 PM)
• State criminal background clearance required prior to start.
• COVID-19 vaccination required (medical exemptions only)
