Akima Systems Engineering is seeking a Systems Administrator to support mission-critical operations at Shaw Air Force Base, South Carolina. This position requires a high degree of independent judgment, rapid decision-making, and disciplined task management to ensure the continuous availability, security, and performance of enterprise IT systems supporting USARCENT G6 operations. The Systems Administrator will install, configure, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows and Linux server environments, virtualized infrastructure, and associated applications across NIPRNET and SIPRNET enclaves. Responsibilities include user account management, system patching, backup and recovery operations, performance monitoring, and resolution of Tier II/III incidents in accordance with established SLAs and ITIL-aligned processes.
