Job Description The Principal Epic Operational Database Administrator (ODBA) is responsible for the administration, optimization, and ongoing maintenance of Epic IRIS databases to ensure data integrity, system stability, security, and high performance across all Epic environments. This role works closely with application teams, developers, system administrators, and infrastructure teams to support Epic operations, upgrades, and optimization initiatives in a healthcare environment. Provides leadership at the enterprise level to design solutions and maintain Company's databases. Serves as expert level resource for database administration. Essential Functions Leads discussions and planning for database architecture, performance, and replication solutions Lead liaison between business customers, development, and support groups. Leads others in the transformative evolution of AI-enabled DBA’s. Provides consultation across multiple major projects and development initiatives. Coaches the development of less senior DBA’s.
