Job Description We are seeking a Staff Network Engineer (WAN) to design and operate a global network backbone connecting multiple data centers and GPU clusters. This role focuses on building high-performance, secure, and reliable wide-area networks (WANs) to support large-scale data movement across regions. You will collaborate closely with compute, storage, infrastructure, and facility teams to ensure seamless, low-latency connectivity across a global footprint. Responsibilities: Design and operate global WAN infrastructure supporting hyperscale datacenter interconnects with high throughput and ultra-low latency. Work with advanced optical transport technologies (DWDM, ROADM, coherent optics) and platforms like Ciena for large-scale deployments. Own carrier relationships end-to-end: circuit procurement, contract negotiation, SLA enforcement, and escalation for multi-terabit links.
