The incumbent is serving in this position under approval pursuant to Section 211 of the Retirement and Social Security Law. In order to determine if there is sufficient basis for a new request for the incumbent, Orange County is conducting a public inquiry as to the availability of qualified non-retired persons for recruitment. The work involves being responsible for coordination of the Countywide Peer Support Program. The Peer Support Program Coordinator will be a supervisor who will function as the primary liaison between the Peer Support Team Members, the program clinical advisor and the Deputy Commissioner of Emergency Services Police Services Division. This position reports to the Deputy Commissioner of Emergency Services Police Services Division. Does related work as required.
