Summary The Advanced Medical Support Assistant (AMSA) is assigned to the Surgical Care Service Line at the Iowa City VA Medical Center . The AMSA primarily serves the Rehabilitation and Extended Care Integrated Clinical Community in a PACT model. The PACT team let is a primary care team that generally consists of a provider (MD, NP, PA, PT, or OT), registered nurse care manager, clinical associate (LPN or medical assistant/health technician) and an administrative associate (MA/MSA/health technician).
