Description Duties and Responsibilities Contribute to germplasm conservation research and implementation of current and new strategies for the micropropagation of rare and endangered native Hawaiian plants. Initiate and establish the micropropagation plant collections, collect and input research data, and provide analytical assistance to the Micropropagation Laboratory Manager. Maintain the integrity of the in vitro plant germplasm inventory in the Micropropagation Laboratory through routine monitoring, sampling, and sub-culturing. Assist the Micropropagation Laboratory Manager in the filing of reports to regulatory agencies. Ensures laboratory supplies and chemicals are accurately inventoried, maintained and re-stocked or ordered as necessary.
