Maintaining inventory of parts and supplies including checking physical inventory counts assuring the issued parts are charged to correct equipment, reordering stock inventory, distributing inventory usage to proper departments, creating requisitions, processing invoices and managing core credit and returns. Possessing a basic mechanical aptitude with the ability to learn and apply mechanical concepts as well as learning the jargon of the automotive language. Learning and using the City’s fleet maintenance software program for inventory accounting, closing work orders, creating reports and references for history. Assisting with UST inspections for fuel island, monthly testing for SCDES, monitoring fuel system and alarms, maintaining annual budgets and processing batch sheets for payroll.
