About Us Founded in 1991 by three Santa Fe ceramic artists, Paseo Pottery began as a small artists’ co-op centered around creativity, education, and community. In 2018, when the founders were ready to pass the torch to a new generation, Angela Smith Kirkman — who had volunteered at the studio for more than 15 years — took over ownership and leadership of the studio. With a vision of expanding Paseo Pottery’s impact within the community, Angela brought on a team of dedicated volunteers, relocated the studio to a larger space and introduced a strong charitable mission. Today, 100% of net proceeds from our monthly First Friday Pottery Throw Downs are donated to local nonprofits chosen by our community. To date, Paseo Pottery has donated more than $129,000 to local organizations.
