Join our finance team to deliver an excellent service to our Council. The primary purpose of this role is to work as part of the Finance team to provide a high-quality management and asset accounting service so that the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) have the financial advice and support they need to deliver quality outcomes for our community. Work is focused on budget preparation, financial analysis and reporting, asset valuations and support to other finance functions so that statutory local government requirements are delivered and are to best practice standard. Core responsibilities include providing quality management reporting within agreed timeframes, assisting with budget preparation work as part of the Finance team to help deliver Councils’ corporate documents, such as the Long Term Plan, Annual Plan and Annual Report, and to use technical knowledge to help support system and process improvements.
