Overview The Department of Buildings & General Services (BGS) Safety & Security team protects employees, visitors, and property across state-owned and leased facilities throughout Vermont. Within that team, the Security Systems Unit does hands-on, in-the-field work installing, maintaining, and repairing physical security equipment in approximately 150 buildings statewide, including correctional facilities, public safety buildings, and administrative offices.
