The Town of Brewster seeks a qualified and collaborative professional to serve as its next Treasurer/Collector. As a key member of our Finance Team, this Department Head position oversees municipal funds, revenue collection, payroll, employee benefits, debt management, and cash flow to ensure the Town's long-term financial stability. Under the administrative direction of the Town Manager, the Treasurer/Collector plans and directs the collections of receipts, accounting, investment, and disbursement of all Town funds; reconciling accounts and ensuring compliance with Town, state, and federal regulations and reporting requirements. They manage the Town’s debt obligations, including paying principal and interest on maturing debt and preparing documents for bond issues.
