Job Title: Histologist Job Description The Histologist will, under limited supervision, perform technical procedures in the IHC/Histology laboratory. Routine tasks include specimen processing, specimen embedding, FFPE sectioning, frozen sectioning, and staining. The role also involves performing immunohistochemical and histological procedures, assay development to ensure optimal staining conditions for antibodies, and participation in other research activities. Responsibilities Operate and maintain general laboratory equipment including analytical balance, pH meter, tissue processor, embedding center, microtome, cryostat, and autostainers. Record keeping and documentation of all laboratory procedures to ensure quality control standards are being met.
