What You Will Be Doing: The primary functions of this position are: The incumbent serves as the main Area Office contact for the public, both over the phone and in person. They handle inquiries related to various programs, including the Burn Permit Program, Emergency Firefighter Program, Student Intern Program, Personal Use Firewood Program, Commercial Timber Sales, and Christmas Tree Cutting. Their responsibilities include answering questions, providing written informational materials, or directing people to the appropriate Forestry managers.
