Job Title: Geologist Job Description As a Geologist, you will be responsible for planning and executing field investigations, including soil borings, monitoring well installation, soil vapor sampling, and surface water/groundwater sampling. You will perform Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) to evaluate potential contamination using the IEPA Tiered Approach to Cleanup Objectives (TACO) and other Illinois standards. Additionally, you will develop and implement remedial strategies such as UST closures, excavation, and in-situ treatment, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, particularly the IEPA Site Remediation Program and Leaking Underground Storage Tank Program, and Resource Recovery and Conservation Act Program.
