CLASSIFICATION: Deputy Housing Inspector I DEPARTMENT: Building Department GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES 1. Reports directly to the Department Head. 2. Performs any and all departmental tasks as outlined by his/her superintendent. 3. Other related work as deemed necessary ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION 1. Performs systematic and compliant-driven inspections and prepares reports and legal orders in accordance with local ordinances. Performs code enforcement inspections. 2. Meets all job safety requirements and all applicable OSHA safety standards that pertain to essential functions QUALIFICATIONS 1. Must demonstrate regular and predictable attendance. 2. Must be able to perform heavy manual labor, which includes lifting, reaching, stretching and bending. 3. Must have and continually maintain a working telephone (proof will be required and records must be kept up to date with the supervisor). 4. Must have a high school diploma or possess a G.E.D....
