About us Tomaquag Museum is a growing non-profit dedicated to educating the public about Indigenous history, culture and arts, and to empowering the Indigenous community of Southeastern New England. The museum was founded in 1958 by Eva Butler, an anthropologist, and Princess Red Wing (Narragansett/Wampanoag). We now have a staff of sixteen people and are in the midst of a multi-million-dollar capital campaign for a new facility, which will be located on the URI campus. We are hiring a part time Finance Director. The position offers a competitive salary and benefits.
