SUMMARY DESCRIPTION: The Pathway Home Workforce Development Specialist (PHWDS) provides direct workforce services and intensive case management to individuals participating in the Pathway Home 6 program. This role serves residents pre-release inside eight adult correctional facilities in Kansas (Norton, Ellsworth, Larned, Hutchinson, Winfield, Lansing, El Dorado, and Topeka) and post-release for returning citizens across the Local Area 1 region. The purpose of the Pathway Home program is to deliver intensive, collaborative case management and workforce development services before and after release, connecting participants to occupational skills training and on-the-job training opportunities in high-demand occupations. The PHWDS promotes employment, supports long-term job retention, and contributes to recidivism reduction within the community. No overnight travel is required except for training.
