Job Responsibilities The music department is seeking to hire an adjunct trombone instructor for the 2026 -2027 school year. Primary duties would include teaching applied trombone lessons, and co-teaching brass classes including brass masterclass, brass technique seminar, and brass chamber music with other brass faculty. Other responsibilities include attending instrument-area juries at the end of the semester, collaborating on instrument-specific guest artist invitations, participating in spring auditions, and ongoing active recruitment of students. Adjunct instructors are expected to provide 16 lessons per semester to each student and maintain a presence on campus that is conducive to holding regularly scheduled lessons and classes. The trombone studio typically includes 2-3 students.
